How to Celebrate Valentine’s Day in Chicago!

February 4, 2021 / About Town

Whether you’re looking to plan a romantic night IN for your significant other or to go OUT with your girlfriends for some much needed (and deserved) Galentine’s Day Quality time, look no further than this post for ideas from A – Z for Valentine’s Day 2021.

This year the team and I wanted to celebrate Valentine’s Day a little bit differently; as an event designer and florist, our flowers have always been rolled into an overall experience for our Clients. An experience for all the senses that ensure our Clients feel special, cared for, and especially for Valentine’s Day, adored.

And after 2020 (and a foot of snow!) who doesn’t need that right now? In support of local restaurants and businesses, we have partnered with some of Chicago’s very best to create one-of-a-kind Valentine’s Day Weekend experiences for you to dine out OR dine (and cocktail!) right at home.

Starting with our couples!

Looking to dine-out?

Make a reservation for brunch or dinner! If Brunch is your love language, Bar Sienna, Siena Tavern & Barrio is where you should head.

For Dinner, Bar Sienna, Bandit, Barrio & Prime & Provisions have special chef tasting menus with no shortage of chocolate to go ALL around. Head to Dineamic Hospitality Group’s website to make your reservation and be sure to click the above links to add Floral for you and your Valentine.

Looking to dine (and drink!) in?!

You guys….how truly amazing is Violet Hour. If you haven’t been, this craft cocktail pre-prohibition stylish spot is known to have some of the best cocktails in town. They have designed “Love Language” cocktails for 2 experience that includes champagne AND chocolate covered strawberries AND 3 cocktails for you to sip at home. To go alongside their craft cocktails we have designed the prettiest bouquet for you to take home and enjoy on your own table.

And to finish off your cocktails at home, Top Chef Fabio Viviani with Sienna Tavern & Prime & Provisions’s Chef Joseph Rizza have created chef tasting menus to-go for 2,  with pickup available Thursday, February 11th through Sunday, February 14th. For full menus, and to order, click here! And don’t forget to add our floral too, bundled up warm and ready to complete your Valentine’s.

Now for my girls and friends! Here’s our Galentine’s Day Guide for YOU!

Looking to dine out?

Brunch AND Dinner is 100% for you Galentines and as they say, treat yo self (you deserve those flowers, you know you do!).

For those looking for a different Valentine’s Day approach, Bandit is hosting an “Anti Valentine’s Day Party” in their bandit heated lodge, in their covered outdoor dining Apres Ski Patio! There’s sweet & savory fondue, Valentine’s Day movies playing and of course, flowers for showing you with only the best parts of Valentine’s Day.

Looking to celebrate at home?

We created a “A little CRAFT with your COCKTAIL” with Violet Hour! Enjoy 1 large format cocktail (32 oz”) that includes 8 services AND add on our floral hand tied bundle + bud vase, so you and your loves can design your own arrangements to each take home.

Violet Hour even created single-serve cocktails that include 2 different cocktails where we designed a petite hand-tied bouquet just for you.

You guys, no matter what you do this Valentine’s Day, from one small owned business owner to her Chicagoland loving friends; please make sure you DO celebrate this year. And wherever possible, shop small! From local shops to restaurants, we’re all in this together and we all deserve some extra love and happiness this Valentine’s Day. XOXO
