It’s wedding season which not only means lots of beautiful summertime weddings – but also summertime wedding soirees.
This past Saturday in Chicago was absolutely gorgeous. We (finally!) got some warm weather. The sun was shining without a cloud in the sky.
The perfect day to shower our beautiful bride Angelica with the most fun bridal shower – with a dash of sass from her girlfriends as they got ready for her bachelorette that night.
LBrown Design & Paperie dreamed up the most beautiful watercolor inspired invitations. I adore the vellum wrap and pattern which we tied into her custom “Soon To Be Mrs” welcome sign.
Angelica’s wedding colors are teal, coral and pink which we incorporated into her floral and decor. As a tribute to Angelica’s mother, yellow roses were tucked into each setting. Additionally Lindsay designed polaroids showcasing photos from Angelica’s parents very own wedding, as well as photos throughout the years celebrating all of Angelica’s loved ones.
Fun & flirty Gloriosa and Billy Ball floral set the tone for the ladies luncheon. BBJ Linen’s bright teal and fun striped napkins added the perfect modern twist to the setting.
Guests were welcomed with bubbly, from prosecco to infused sparkling water.
Party tip: Infuse sparkling water with raspberries and citrus. Keep water bubbling with pretty carafes topped with lids. For another fun twist, infuse (otherwise dull) flat water with fresh cucumbers for a refreshing spa-like treat.
Guests enjoyed all of Angelica’s favorite Italian and BBQ foods, including basil pesto caprese lollis, mini pulled pork sliders topped with crunchy slaw and parmesan stuffed meatball sliders.
Dearest Angelica – it was such a pleasure working with you and your loving family and friends. The very best wishes to you and Clay. Have a fabulous wedding in Florida this coming fall!
