People always ask me what my favorite venues are for weddings and events. And although there are many (with new ones popping up monthly) my answer always is at private residences. Is it x 10 more difficult building a “venue” in someones home, bringing in tents, flooring, bathrooms, and new floor plans from scratch? YES. Maybe x 20.
However, I love throwing special events at personal places for my clients because they are just that; personal, highly specialized events in places that are special to them and their guests. Liz’s graduation party was just that. A highly personalized, special event for family and friends, where we brought her favorite vacation spot, Miami, to her backyard.
The gorgeous clear span tent filled with Liz’s favorite jewel-tone color lighting was accented with big & bold stripes for a fun modern twist. Because the party was in the evening, guests’ excitement grew as all furniture began to glow. Custom lanterns were wrapped with Liz’s photos throughout the years as big coral peony graced every table top, in flowing designs.
This invitation suite, designed by LBrown Design & Paperie defines how an invite can and should always set the tone for an event. From the electrical tape “light” to glowing spheres which mimicked our lanterns. 
Truffleberry Market’s food stole the show with not only gorgeously creative presentation but with taste. Lobster corn dogs, sushi chilled on ice sculptures and petite french onion soup bon bons were but a few of the delicious bites guests dined on.
